Somewhere over the Rainbow

Hi All

Long time no blog, but here I am again. This is my first attempted at  the resist technique using versamark ink pad, stamps, a rainbow ink pad and a brayer.
My mum went on a Barbara Gray  course and really enjoyed it, so she is now trying to teach me some of the tricks.

I hope you like it and pop back soon. Vic x

Enchanted

Good afternoon,

Here is the second of 3 for my weekend. This card is for St Luke's Charity Card Challenge - One Layer Month.

Well I really struggled on this card with everything. I have been following Barbara Gray this morning and was trying out some techniques. Think I could have done better.

I used Katy Sue Silhouette Stamps for the fairies and the branches at the top of the square and IndigoBlu - Anenome Corner for the corner stamp.

How I put the card together was I cut a piece of Neenah card 7 1/4 in square, and then measured a border of 3/4 in. I then placed paper over the border. I stamped the fairy first and then made a mask for it. I then stamped the IndigoBlu corner over the fairy. The last stamps I did were the branches at the top and the fairy in the left hand corner. Once it was all stamped I distressed the edge of the smaller square with blue and purple papermania ink using cotton wool balls. When I was happy with the disstressed inking I coloured the flowers using my Spectrum Noir pens. Next I embossed the fairies wings and the daisy chain with silver WOW embossing powder. I then did a 1/4 in border around the whole card and masked it off. I then embossed the edge of the card with Cosmic Shimmer Steel Blue Aurora embossing powder. The last thing to finish the card was to sprinkle some fairy dust (glitter) over the card.

Well after all that I am pooped.

Thank you for popping by and hope you pop back soon. Vic x

Flower Girl

Good afternoon.

Well as promised here is the first of 3 cards for this weekend. I have decided to do a challenge weekend and today's card is for the Whoopsi Dasiy Challenge - Pile on the flowers.

Well I designed the backing paper using the Digital Designer CD. The backing paper was made up of paper and embellishments from Me to You Spring Chick CD 1. I uploaded the flower backing paper and then added the flowers and blue ribbon embellishments. The digi stamp is the Whoopsi Dasiy and I have used 2 different oval dies. I then added the tulip Marianne dies and then 2 flower toppers from Artwork. I hope you like my card thank you for popping by. Vic x

New Delivery

Good Evening all.

I have been a bit busy with Judo and work for the last week and have missed My Time.

I managed to have some my time tonight. I have done a baby card for one of my mums. Right here we go, Backing papers and Embellishments are from Boofle CD, the sentiment is a Verse from Docrafts Digital Designer CD, the is a most fantastic cd because you can design your card and then print everything seperate so that you can give a bit of hight to the card. And last but not least the image is a digi stamp is a pachela image from Cuddly Duddly and coloured with Flex and Pro Markers.

I hope you like the card and pop back soon as I do intend to do one more before the end of the week.
